Just got the exciting news of success for a client involving nearly 1 million dollars proposed fine against a landlord accused of responsibility for an illegal cannabis indoor cultivation, that was perpetrated by a tenant.
Without divulging identities of those involved, client was wrongfully accused of the tenant’s illegal grow operation and suffered substantial property damage from the tenant’s conduct. Tenant fled at large in the city, however the local municipal authority tried to hold the landlord responsible for violation of the local illegal cannabis ordinances. The number of cannabis plants that were found on the property made the administrative fine amount to nearly 1 million dollars.
